REBECCA WEBB
HADO Rooted in Hado — the ancient Japanese philosophy of wave and motion — I make the southwestern desert my stage by interjecting painterly and sculptural fabrics into the landscape, where the wind becomes my collaborator: animating, dissolving, and stilling into a single image. The resulting photographs are Land Art landscapes — wide, meditated, and constructed views that are at once geographical, metaphorical, and deeply personal.
